Friday, 7:12 p.m. The phone rings. Nobody can pick up.
Callomi answers, knows your tables, your turn times by party size and your pacing, books the right table and confirms by text. One flat fee, no per-cover charges.
- Answers during the rush, in English and French
- Books using your floor plan and turn times
- Large parties sent for your approval
“A table for four around 8, by the window if you can.”
Three calls you receive every week
These conversations reflect what the receptionist can actually do.
Slot checked against the 8:00 pacing (full), a 4-seat window table assigned at 8:15 for the expected turn time, confirmation text sent. Nobody on the floor picked up.
Before and after
The phone rings six times, the host is on the floor, the table goes to the place next door.
Every call is answered. The booking lands on the right table with the right turn time.
Requests for the week go to voicemail.
It books against your weekly services, even when the door is closed.
A staff member takes the call, forgets to check combinable tables, promises what you can't deliver.
Combinations checked, request sent for your approval, answer by text.
An empty six-top at 7:30, no call.
Confirmation and reminder by text; the guest cancels or moves in one tap, the table goes back on sale.
Configured for restaurants
It knows your floor
Areas, tables with their seat counts, combinable tables for large parties: it books the table that fits, never an 8-top for two.
Turn times and pacing respected
Turn time by party size, reset time, maximum covers and parties per 15-minute slot: the kitchen and the floor keep the pace you set.
Services and days
Lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch: each service has its days, hours and rules. A “day plan” grid shows the room hour by hour.
Online booking included
The same engine behind your booking link (Google, Instagram, website) and the phone: same tables, same rules, no double-booking.
What it records on every call
- Party size and preferred time
- Seating preference (patio, window, bar) from your options
- Occasion (birthday, business) and notes (high chair, allergies)
- Name and mobile number for the confirmation text
- Large-party request for approval above your threshold
Large parties and special requests
Above the number you set (8, 10, 12…), it takes the request without confirming: you approve or decline in the portal and the guest gets the answer by text. Buyouts and events are transferred or logged as callbacks.

What missed calls cost you
Your numbers, not ours. Three sliders are enough.
An estimate based on your own numbers. It doesn't replace your accounting — it shows the order of magnitude.
Callomi answers every call, 24/7, and books straight into your calendar.
Try it now
The quickest way to judge it is to let it call you. It books a real appointment in a real calendar.
One call. No follow-up and no credit card.
What happens after the call?
The table is booked
Assigned in the day plan with the expected turn time for that party; the other slots recalculate.
The guest gets a text
Immediate confirmation with a link to move or cancel; the table goes back on sale if plans change.
You see everything in the portal
Call, transcript, reservation, occasion and notes in one place; large parties wait for your OK.
Frequently asked questions
What restaurants ask before getting started.
Does it replace OpenTable?
For taking reservations, yes: phone, online link, floor plan, turn times, pacing, texts — with no per-cover fees. Callomi does not replace OpenTable's discovery network or your POS.
How much per cover?
Nothing. The plan is a flat monthly fee regardless of how many reservations you take, with a 7-day satisfaction trial.
Does it handle deposits or no-show credit cards?
Not yet. Today it reduces no-shows with a confirmation and a reminder by text, with one-tap cancellation.
What about walk-ins?
Seat them as usual. The day plan shows upcoming reserved tables so you don't seat a couple at the 7:30 six-top.
Does it speak French too?
Yes. It answers in the guest's language, English or French, with the same floor plan and rules.
The first to answer wins the customer.
Callomi starts at $129 per month, with a 7-day satisfaction trial.
